Tee hee Jen, I'm really pretty uncool, and in the interest of full disclosure, dropped off the H.S. XC in 10th grade before the seaon even really started, running dead lat by a mile. I'm faster than I was then-but not "fast!" Just working at being competitive.

In more full disclosure, there was a rare Sunday race in town 24 hours later (a new one-wanted to do that one too, but had schedule conflicts). When I saw the results in the paper, it looked like many of the local ladies ran that instead. If they're both on the same weekend again next year, I'd like to give both a try.

I still love this race for the peaches.

great race report, and excellent job...you are a speedster indeed....too bad about the snafu on the results, it's hard to know what to do in those situations, but i think you did the right thing...i love peaches this time of year, yum. nice pics too, you have a great looking family...

Karah, you're just too cool! I feel like telling people, "Yeah, I have this cool friend, and she runs races, and she's really good." All said in the voice of a high school freshman talking about the oh-so-cool senior that she's bumped into in the hall...that one time...because I was late...to band class. ;)

Awesome job! I'm glad you were able to get some revenge on this race. LOL. That is stinky about the results being messed up. I hate it when stuff like that happens. It sounds as though you handled it very well. Also nice that your family came out AND... I really like the pics the new camera took. Keep up the good work!
